The Road to Grace Video Series
A 6 part course on freedom and healing from porn and sex addiction for men, wives, and youth.
Surveys show that upwards of 70% of Christian men and 40% of Christian women are viewing pornography; sexual sin and porn use are rampant at every age group and level of the church, including pastors. Most men don’t look for serious help until years into their marriage. When the wife discovers her husband’s sexual sin—especially if he’s been hiding it for years, even decades—it has a profound and traumatic impact on her heart. Christian youth have been ensnared to porn and other forms of sexual sin at an alarming rate, with surveys showing that 90% of youth have been engaged with pornography, sexting, or other forms of sexual sin (including AI companions), many before the age of 10.
The Road to Grace Video Series provides answers, hope, and healing for those who struggle with porn or sexual sin, wives who have been impacted by porn in their marriage, and youth.
The RTG series was professionally recorded in the United Kingdom at Monkeynut Studios in Lockerley, near London. Mike Genung, author of 9 books and the founder of Blazing Grace, is the main presenter. British singer and actress Deryn Edwards introduces each session and returns at the end to provide questions for consideration and discussion in group settings. The RTG video series is great for personal use, group study, and to show in churches or other organizations. In the trailer below, Deryn Edwards provides an introduction to the series.

Here are the topics covered in each session.
Part 1: Mike’s Story
Mike Genung shares his story, which includes being molested as a teen, 20 years of bondage to sexual sin with daily binges with porn and masturbation, sex with prostitutes, and affairs; an 8 year search for freedom that included hours in support groups and counseling, reading the Bible and praying every day, and a crisis of faith that occurred when those things failed to provide the abundant life he had been searching for all of his life.
Part 2: The physical, emotional, and spiritual effects of pornography on a man and his wife
If you go to a church for help with sexual sin, you might receive several Bible verses, an offer for prayer, or counsel that might even border on spiritual abuse (which is quite common – some wives are told that their husband’s sexual sin is their fault). Go to a psychologist, and you might receive a diagnosis and treatment plan to fit that diagnosis, leaving God out of the picture. The intense spiritual battles that the husband and his wife face are often left out of both the church and the counselor’s office. It’s important to understand that porn and sexual sin affects the entire person—body, spirit, and emotions. In this segment Mike Genung discusses the chemical, emotional, and spiritual effects of sexual sin on those who find themselves in bondage to it, the trauma that sexual sin inflicts on the spouse, and the spiritual warfare that is set against them to destroy their marriage and family. Many leave out the wife when it comes to healing and recovery from the spouse’s sexual sin, which is a big mistake. The healing of her heart is just as critical as her husband’s.
Part 3: Action Steps to Freedom
We now turn toward looking at answers. This session provides the consistent action steps those who are in bondage to sexual sin and want freedom can take that will make a significant impact. Freedom requires an overhaul of the heart; sexual sin damages the entire character, affects how the man treats his wife, and distances him from God. Many women are struggling with porn and sex addiction; the principles apply equally to both men and women who want help.
Part 4: The Road to Healing for the Wife and Marriage
Pornography and adultery in a marriage are devastating to a wife. Their self-esteem can be shattered, there are struggles with fear, anger, hopelessness, and anxiety, and they face a spiritual enemy who is out to take them down. In this session we provide the consistent action steps a wife can take that will move her from hopelessness to healing and even overcoming, regardless of her circumstances. Building her identity through the lens of Scripture, overcoming fear, who not to tell, and trust issues are discussed, among others.
Part 5: Warfare, and Breaking the Power of Lies
Since the beginning of time, Satan has used the power of a lie to bind God’s people and destroy lives. One lie, such as “I’m on my own,” “God doesn’t love me,” “I must do something to be loved,” or “porn is love and comfort,” is enough to keep a man or woman distant from God, trapped in fear, hopelessness, or bitterness. We often see that the people we work with (including pastors) have 8-10 lies that have been hidden in their hearts for years. When these lies are exposed and their power is broken, captives are set free to live the abundant life God has called them to as a spiritual warrior and overcomer. In this session we examine the lies that many are in bondage to and how to break their power.
Part 6: Youth and the Church
Many of those we work with were first exposed to pornography by the age of 8; today kids receive smartphones with wide open internet access as early as the age of 3. Most alarmingly, for the past 20 years, surveys have shown that 75% of youth have been walking away from church. The falling away of our youth and sexual issues are connected. One of the primary reasons for this mass exodus is that our youth aren’t being equipped in the areas they’re struggling with, especially sexual issues and spiritual warfare. We would save many of God’s people from years of pain and turmoil if we equipped our youth in these areas, which is what this session is about.
We finish the series by discussing the Biblical imperative that every church must openly talk about sexual issues, and equip God’s people to be overcomers and spiritual warriors who make their lives count for eternity.
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor;
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound”
– Isaiah 61:1-3
