Thank you RTK.  I did not know how to respond to the last couple of posts.  I will pray that all on this discussion board seek God, the God of their understanding, the one true God that transcends all nations, all peoples, all things.  Wow.  I guess I have a lot to learn about the mindset of the world.

Again, thanks.

Thank you to all of you who post here!!

My husband is on the road to recovery and we prayed together for the first time since his discloser (porn addiction).

God is moving slowly with my prayers and it is been a long hard journey.  Anyway here we are.  I ask for prayer that this  new action continues and that he feels encouraged that he can maintain this momentum.  This has been a prayer request of mine for many, many years.  The fact that he picked our Anniversary to begin this means more to me then any gifts.

Just thought you all would like a praise report!!:):D:cool::dude:

Prayer is so very important in my marriage, being a wife of a husband in recovery it is such a blessing to have my husband pray for me and I for him and times we just both pray out togther. My prayer for my husband has always been "God make him a man after your own heart!" Because when that happens everything else will fall in place.

A really good book is The Power of a Praying Husband by Stormie Omartian....

As  i keep reading / praying different parts of this book - changes keep happening in my marriage.    I- too strongly recommend this book to every women going through this also.

Please join with me in  prayer  that this new trend continues.  It feels like God is showing me that every day is a new day and a new path that my husband chooses.

Thanks for your message.

My wife and I read most every night together.

We read scripture and a chapter or two of what ever book we are reading. many books such as Brother Andrews God's Suggler, any of Corrie ten Boom's boks and the heros of the faith series all take even more depth when read outloud, and having a quiet house just sitting together sharing scripture and the stories of missionarys and others together are really some of our greatest memories together.

We always pray afterwards and we find that this puts us into a better frame of mind for prayer and listening as we pray. Our prayer times have been much more than they were ever before when we keep this activity up.

Another thing is she goes to bed a lot before I do, and when we do this I find I don't have the temptations to get into trouble.

Our reading time lasts anywhere from half an hour to however long we want to go.

We sometimes will stop and talk about what we just read or look things up.

I encourange anyone to try this..and do it for at least a few weeks or longer before desiding if it's for you. When we started it wsn't long beofre I was looking forward to it as the best part of the day

Rejected again!!!  He was actually crying over our finances - so i offered to pray with him and he got up and walked away from me.  I was left feeling hurt and very sad.  Not sure what to do next.  How can i show support with out him letting me comfort him.  Just when he fell asleep, all i could do was pray for his spirit and for him.. Nothing else to do.. So please pray for us again!! Feeling stuck in a hole and i want to crawl out with no rope.  Thanks to all again.:?
