Hello. Single male, seeking freedom from "m" habit begun at about 12 in 1975. I am now completely free from porn addiction. I have prayed to God for deliverance from it and so far He has delivered me.

Thanks for that intro. You've done what many of us on the forum have had a hard time doing - trusting Jesus' love enough to truly lay the burdens down, by name, and yield to Him. I haven't truly done it yet, except in little bits. I appreciate your sharing the experience...

Thanks Gaylon for your response. Laying down the burdens isn't over yet. Unforgiveness has been the biggest one.

Hey there,
God has never confirmed "spoken" words to me, but he has planted words in my heart and often I have prayed questions and that next sermon the answers are right there. So I know what you mean. I very much hope to hear these word myself one day.
In 2005 my wife and I were discussing a distant family member while we were eating lunch down the street from her job. We had wronged him through pride and were talking about how guilty we felt about it and not five seconds later he walked through the door and bee lined straight for our table. It turned out he worked across the road from my wife and we never knew it until then. We are able to ask his forgiveness on the spot and a large burden was lifted off our shoulders that day.
I sometimes wonder about what we all miss when we are too wrapped up in our daily lives and we don't look around or listen.
You are in tune with the Lord, you'll make it.

Art, thanks for your encouragement and for sharing that extraordinary God-incidence when you were both praying for a distant relation who turned up within the minute! That has to be one of the most extraordinary I have ever heard

Coincidence
Coordinated by God,
Opportunities occur
In His sovereign, perfect time,
Never early, never late.
Coordinated by God,
I strive to give thanks to Him,
Daily, for His gracious gifts,
Even when I do not understand.
Never just an accident.
Coordinated by God
Eternally.

God be praised that you have found freedom! You have had some rought experiences; nothing like my life. God has laid some very unique crosses on you, and by His grace you have overcome!

Amen to that. I can speak from personal experience when I say that nothing dissolves temptation like taking it to the cross!
