| I am a 19 year old male who lives in Colorado. i have had a problem with sexual sin for a long time. it's always been more on the mental side than the physical but it was there none the less. i knew and figured out about sex early on in my childhood. my first encounter with pornogriphy when i was 6 years old. at the time i didn't know but that lead me down the wrong paths way too early. i began to lust in my thoughts when i was only 11. actually begining to have cyber sex at that age. it was a story fantasy at that age for me without the physical aspect. that's how i justified it too. a few years past and i turned 14. the day i turned 14 was the first time i masterbated.. i was hooked from the start. 5 years have past since then and just these last two i've been trying to stop. loseing because i've had little to no support. just this last year i found a reliable accountability partner but nobody can be there all the time. the longest in these last two years i've gone without the physical is 2 months without the mental... 2 days. it's a struggle for me and i could use all the help i can find.

I will be praying for you! I never could have gotten to where I am (The first stop on this walk) without friends to keep me accountable on this site, prayer and support.

Read all the stuff on this site, and go thru a bunch of old posts, both on the mens and womens forums. This will give you lots of insight and food for thought.
19!!! Great age to admit the addiction, and work through it... Wish to God I would have even had a clue I was addicted, or that there was such a thing as sex addiction. I'm 53, and have been fighting about a year. So, your 33 years ahead of me. Go for it! and God go with you...

thank you. yeah my uncle actually gave me this site and i have a few close friends that i can confide in... though they don't ask on a regular basis but i know they're there for me if i put forth the effort. i spent probably 3 hours last night reading though all the stuff on this site.. it helped me out a great deal today. i'm in college and unfortunatly enough girls don't dress approiatly. the one about the battle with the mind helped me a bunch and i hope that with God's help we can win that battle.

Welcome! The good news is there are loads of resources on Colorado's front range including groups, counselors who specialize in sex addiction and others.
If you're seeking a mentor, sponsor, counselor or group, shoot me an e-mail and I'll send you some information about "recoverities" I know personally on the front range.
