hi

wife & i are  owner ops who spread Jesus gospel of love, healing &  deliverance 24/7 & caught your site from gospelcom....grads of moses seminary(40 yr desert)

ancient history; brother & I were molested  at 10 by ranch employee who resigned after. parents never believed either of us.

brother became scizophrenic & I should have been busted as sex offender at13 on.  drank heavily, did some grass. did alot of strip clubs and masturbated daily for years. molested teen daughter & turned self in after confronted by wife.  iI was arrested & we legally sep 2 yrs. then we both did rehab,AA, therapy that left me totally empty inside.  met Jesus after a friend committed suicide, 7 days later at hudson, wi midnight, a young driver had a bad week &was suicidal.. I joined the meeting shared my own friend's eternal choice & my own lostness and drove out a new creature.... met lots of chaplains,  wife at home noticed the chg & she was saved 6  mo later.

now we meet backslid pastors(porn), a hooker (daughter of a famous preacher) who by our witness , prayer & testimony, these were all restored ...because by His Stripes we are healed...

now into jail ministry on wednesdaya at 2.  this is reeeeally a step fwd. & I could write a novel.  We've been blessed over & over. thanks mike for all this. I can see it's a labor of love.

To  Him  be the Glory

Hi, Im sorren.

Sounds like you have been thru alot.  If you ever want to chat just let me know, I too am in recovery from juvenille offending.. So i wont be judgemental. Just remember that we are always in recovery.. We have to continually be mindful about what gose on in our lives and remember to empathise and be compassionate to others. I find that recovery in sex addiction is alot like recovery for offenders but it gose beyond what you do to others to what you desire.. Its no easy battle to change what you desire, but the few conversations I did have here compleatly encoraged me to keep working not only to become a better person, but also to draw closer to the Lord. I just recived the everymans battle book about sex addiction. I think its going to help alot and it only cost about 14 dollars.

Anyhow hang in there

thanks for the reply, & since i'm new to this chat business, I didn't pick this up till today.  never been in a chat room before so please bear w/me...

I also would be a willing listener (w/years of experience) to you or anyone trekking through a destructive fantasy that only leads to loss of freedom, family, & self respect....

at the jail ministry, met a young man facing 20 to life for "dating" a 13 year old. also, this ministry produced a book;wednesdays with barry by terry amann  listed on barnes&noble,& others.

unknown to him(she lied) but he has friends who were witnesses to that,  her mom callled 911.  that's another been there, done that (30 yrs ago) and only by His Grace did I escape that.... but the conviction & conscience are still there, amen?

as always, we must not only repent, but pray for those we've hurt during our addictions.  god give us Your strength & mercy, amen

Hey kenro -

Welcome to the boards, and thanks for sharing your story. I'd like to hear more about your prison ministry... I went to a couple of prisons in 2003 and heard several guys say they'd never heard a testimony based around freedom from sexual sin - how do the inmates react when you share this ?

hey mike,

thanks for reply, may The Lord truly Bless your ministry....

90% of prisoners don't have a clue, yet, what a "walk w/ THE LORD "is. therefore I start out  w/ his atonement, forgiveness, freedom(paul & phillipian jailer),2/3 of N.T. written from a cell, and very important....

the armor of God (II cor 10:4) that's how I get through the week & have survived this foul world I've walked through in this  weak, flesh body. by no means perfect, I cast down every evil thought, vision, or dream as being authored by the enemy (satan)

found  that every backslid pastor had a raging battle in his own backyard.  the family, church people, internet porn(fantasyland),counseling single women, & quite often the secretary(workplace seduction), + lack of accountability(like promise keepers)

mike, we in this forum, are desperate for the groupthing(honesty, sharing) a chance to "be real" & through the power of prayer(sent&received) that we, reading this can leave this site so charged up,inthespirit, you'll lock your door to be a witness in the world for christ daily, amen?

it's not that much different at jail. as a mentor,  I start w/the milk of the word for the newly saved to not beat him over the head  & destroy the fragile faith that has just sprouted from seed. pray a lot, then thank the jailer( who 35 yrs ago was top brawler in 5 county area) for letting me leave after my hour is up.....

had more awesome events this week that send me tomyknees in thanksgiving...

later ><>

rest of story

been praying for a qualified driver to sign on and everybody I've chosen hasn't passed the strict requirements of load broker....

so 3 wks ago, they had a fellow who was with this co. then left, come in wanting work & I met him in fla 2 yrs ago.

so I hired him onthe spot. drove over to the office, we talked then loaded his bags in the car to set him up in my truck.  found out he was an annointed born-again christian PTL! so vern got the 2day kenrotrk ministry orientation in discipleship& street ministry so I was pretty pumped about that. great commission Mark16;15

then this week, at the jail, I had the rare privilege of leading a new guy(never been in a church) jason, to THE LORD in 48 min. flat.  so the angels in heaven were having a party, so did we as this just doesn't happen  every week w/incarcerated souls.

most weeks have 2 pastors+2 lay preachers go in but with summer & busy schedules any of us can cover for another.

a bigger PTL, we got unanimous board approval to takeover a 9 bed facility 2 blocks from church bldg, being phased out by local sheltered workshop,  for our desire to start a halfway house!!!! plan on connecting w/teen challange and running faith based addiction treatment/meetings too.

everybody in jail I've asked, has admitted to at least doing meth(or dist. or  cooking it) and lack of followup treatment after serving sentence has been  biggest relapse contibutor... fear of parole officer just hasn't been enough to scare anybody "straight" these days.

the other day was reading the sex offender  list& was amazed.  I've been on the road 12 yrs & didn't realize so many had been through the court system. so it looks as if we could use a group like yours, mike in this rural area (iowa) I'm at for the summer.

(should be back to house polk city,fl) by nov....
