Hi, I was shocked to see the statistics of how many struggle with sexual sin in the church. I am going to be completely honest that I thought I was the only one when I was down in that place. I came here because I see a lot of hopelessness on this forum. I see this as a big problem in the church and I want to know how to help people because I am called to be a pastor. I also have some concerns that people may be able to help me with. I am not perfect but I look to Jesus who delivers those who trust in him. Right now I am dealing with an addiction and I was almost despairing of ever breaking free but I am trusting God. I will tell what it is if someone wants to know but I feel that it would seem to small compared to the things people are dealing with now. I have been there and I know what it is like.

My struggle right now is an internet adiction. I used to have and adiction to sexual things but I repented of that. I was also set free from an addiction to comuter games. But the adictions transfured to an internet adiction with waisting my time on the conputer. I have set strict limits on my time online and I hope that it will work. I block pages for a time I can get online from 4:00 to 4:10PM and 8-9 am and 1-2 pm. I am hoping this will work for me.

i hope it will work out for you too. btw, i do know how it feels. i have to do the majority of my job online and at first, i really had to struggle with completing my work and not goofing off too much on the net. thankfully my boss knows how stressful my responsibilities are and he does allow me some indulgences about surfing but i must complete the work or else. so finding that balance can be hard for me too, but i know my limits and i just have to stay within them. have a great evening.

Yes, we are all concerned for one another. I too spend a lot more time on the net than I should. I'm a member of a couple of motorcycle web sites that I log on to way too many times a day. But I love my bike and like to talk to others about riding and wot-not. You're in my prayers for your addiction. God bless you.
