My wife is going to Edmonton for the weekend with her sister, and I will be alone from Today to Sunday evening. I just know that the enemy will attack so I was hoping for some prayers for strength.

Thanks

You got it!

I will hold you up in my prayers this weekend brother. I am not sure when I will be online but you can always PM me if you need to.

God Bless

Art

Right before she leaves what does my wife do? She shows me the Victoria's Secret cataloug, she ordered. Are you kidding me!!!!???

Yeah so I gave her two options. Throw it away, or take it with on the trip. She threw it away.

Thanks for your prayers man.....keep em comin'

At the direction of my sponsor, some of the things I do in situations where my wife is away include calling recovering friends several times a day, attending more 12-step meetings (either on-line or face-to-face) and writing my wife daily (even if I don't then mail the letters) to talk about what I am doing to stay sober for that day and why that is important to me.

Perhaps tools like those might be useful to you as well?

Yeah, Billy,

Good grief, when I read the title of your topic my heart dropped. I thought on no, Lord, please don't allow another marriage to be destroyed. Anyway, I, too will be praying for you.

But, choose your words a little more carefully......man, oh, man.

Sorry 'bout that ;). To be honest I thought about that when I put the headline in there, but I was hoping for as many hits as I could get. Selfish I know....sorry.

I am doing really well today, though. It was actually really harder than I thought it was going to be Yesterday. I had the constant temptation of actually driving to work and going online (I don't have a computer at home) I was bored. Not good. But I called a friend of mine and we played hockey in my basement for an hour or so, and then I went to my mother in laws house and watched the Oilers game. She was alone as well as my Father in law works out of town. But I am doing well today. Thanks for the prayers

So she's back and I did fine. I thank God the temptations of Thursday weren't there all weekend. I had a really wierd thing happen to me on Saturday to Sunday night. At about 1:30 in the morning, I was in a deep sleep, and having what I think was a sexual dream. I woke up but didn't really, you know what I mean? Your awake but your not. Anyway I was MB'ing and didn't really even realize it when what happens? The phone rings! At 1:30 in the morning, the phone rings! Well I wake up totally, with kind of a "What the....?" feeling, like I didn't even know what was going on. It was the most amazing feeling ever. Satan tried to get me to fall when what happens, God causes the phone to ring and wake me up! Wow, how God protects His Children. I am so thankful.

Has anyone else experianced anything else like this? It was wierd, but wonderful at the same time.

Billyeah,

Good deal on getting through the weekend!:D

I know what you mean by having weird things happen, but God is good!

It's the little things that make the difference in everyday.

Great news brother!

I shouldn't laugh but now I'm starting to wonder about those weird phone calls about a month ago, LOL! People were calling our house at 4 a.m., 4:30 a.m. Totally weird. My husband was the one having to answer all the "wrong numbers". ;)
