Hi everyone,
Coming her is like visiting friends. Today I strongly need prayer. I am feeling very discouraged with my situation. I feel like taking of my wedding ring and escaping millions of miles from my husband. I just don't think he will ever be able to understand how his porn has hurt me so bad. I haven't seen anything new to let me beleive he's at it but that's just the thing. I don't think things will ever be normal for us again. I hate not trusting and feeling like everyday I have to keep my guard up as if waiting to be attacked.
I really need for you to pray for me. I need some clarity in my thoughts. I don't want to feel like the tears have control over me. I'm afraid to fall into a depression. Please pray. I'm praying but I need an extra push. I need a boost of hope that only God can give me.
Thank you all.

Esperanza means "princess" in Spanish, doesn't it? Oh, thanks Esperanza for correcting me. So it means hope.
Isaiah 62, verse 2-3 I hope will encourage you and make you feel precious to the Lord. Verse 2 "And the nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; and you will be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord will designate. (v.3) You will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God. (v.4) It will no longer be said to you, 'Forsaken,' nor to your land will it any longer be said, 'Desolate'; but you will be called, 'My delight is in her,' and your land, 'Married'; For the Lord delights in you, and to Him your land will be married." I pray that you will receive the strength that you need and the replenishing of God's Spirit to sustain you. Guitarist63

Hi Esperanza,
Mis-trust is a difficult state in which to live. I pray that your H is doing all that he needs to do to break free of this addiction, because only in doing so will it be possible for trust to slowly rebuild. I wish that I could tell you how long that takes, but it is different in each situation.
Heavenly Father, I ask that you draw especially close to my sister at this time. Help her not to be afraid, to run in fear that this situation will not change. Help her and her husband to adjust to the changes that this experience brings to their lives, understanding that your healing work is inclusive of growing through these struggles. In Jesus' Name, amen.
If we put our hand on a hot stove, received a serious burn, and were promptly treated for it, scarring may be minimized. If, however, the physician brought such thorough healing that there was no scarring, and, miraculously, no memory of the event, we would be in no position to recall the need to be wary around hot stoves, nor to caution others to do so.

Hi friends,
I just wanted to testify to the power of prayer. I only have computer access at work. (No computer at home). So after I posted my prayer request I left home still feeling disheartened. Later in the evening I received a phone call from my sister asking how I was doing and after briefly thinking about the response I told her "you know what, come to think of it, I began to feel tranquil a bit after I left work." After I hung up I began thinking about it and wondered if someone had said a prayer for me. I was suprised at how calm I had felt without even noticing. I said my own prayer and went to bed early (I also prayed for my new friends here).
When I checked this morning and read your kind words and and your prayers it made me believe that the strenght I had last night was not a coincidence. (I haven't even cried since yesterday afternoon). I am unbelievably greatful to all and just wanted to let you know that your prayers where heard by God and helped me greatly. Isaiah 62 , very beautiful. I had not stumbled on that word before but I have highlighted and will read it many times after today. Thanks again, you will also be in my prayers because...
PRAYER WORKS
PS- Esperanza is Hope in spanish. Huge thank you and I love you guys and gals. I really do. Warm hugs.

Hello Esperanza. Very glad to hear you're experiencing answer to prayers. The key to prayer is to keep disciplined and keep regularly doing it. All times, all places (well - nearly all places - I draw the line at the loo) and I'm not naturally disciplined and sometimes have to force myself, especially when tired, to pray but once you start, in my experience, one receives strength to carry on and wisdom to speak which must be the communion all believers have with the Holy Spirit who intercedes with words that we cannot express. There is a New Testament verse about that process of intercession that I must find, as it's relevant to prayer. Blessings, Guitarist63

That, my friend, is in Romans 8, but as that is my favorite chapter of Scripture, you will have to read the whole of it to find the verse. :-)

I had to preach yesterday at church and my subject was on The Power of Prayer. I used Acts 12 - When Peter was in prison and his peers prayed for him and he was set free by the Lord. I was thinking about all of you and as I finished my message I said a prayer for all of you.
Bless you all and I hope you have an excellent day,
Esperanza

Thanks Truthseeker, for pointing me to the chapter in Romans. Romans 8, verse 26, "And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; V.27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God." Yes, it is a great chapter and most apt for those with the daily battle of the Spirit against the flesh.
Esperanza, you have my admiration for preaching and thanks for praying for us all. It takes courage to do that as well as the skill. I have neither for public speaking but praise God for those who do. Blessings, Guitarist63
