Please praise the Lord with me today because I am sober one month today. I have made it to the month mark before and fell again. Please pray for me that I continue to reamin sober. Please also pray for me that I continue to see the importance of my sexual sobriety. Sometimes I loose sight of why I am doing this and want to go back to sin for that temporary high.
Last night I attended a wedding reception. I am a wedding Photographer part-time. I had some lustful thoughts over some ladies there. Wedding's are always hard because ladies are always dressed nice and ussually dancing and drunk. I did pretty good though and was able to abate the lust mostly. I've learned I'm not responsible so much for what thoughts pop into mind but I am responsible for what I do with them.
For a breif moment what I got home layig in bed I had a bondage fantasy. I prayed for God to grant me sleep to escape the thougths and he did. I praise God for his power. Because under my power I would have been down stairs at the computer.
Please continue to pray for me that God will shepard me away from lustful thoughts and keep me on the path to sexual sobriety.

I praise God for your progress and His victory in you, Johnny. Will continue to pray for you. I find it sorts out the stray thoughts and images that come flashing by to bind them in the name of Jesus and hand them over to Him. Sometimes these flashing thoughts or images might need more persistent prayer and even prayer and fasting, though I haven't yet tried doing that. If you're not diabetic or have other health reason prayer with fasting is an effective way of tackling certain issues, if it's carried out with the right heart motivation. I've not fasted more than once so I need to try it. We need to be in love with God, with Jesus, to do it really effectively. Stephen

I would love to pray for you, you deserve all the strenghth that God can give, you made the choice to change and God Bless you for doing that. I hope my husband can do the same. Please, pray for him to if you have time. He is also a Johnny.
