Are you the new apostle for the nudist movement?
You think you can look at nudes without lust. You somehow bullied your wife into believing your nonsense. You have your poor children convinced dear old dad is right.
It is a pathetic ruse to come back to this forumunder another name with your kooky views. Barb has made clear the position of Blazing Grace. If you want to make a bunch of nudist disciples take it somewhere else. People here are serious about their recovery and don't need you clouding the issue.
I only pray that God will protect your children.
Matt

Dear Preacher
Of course it will be a problem! Summer climates, anywhere for a sex addict will be a continious problem. Its very hard for most men to even go to the mall during the summer months because they are bombarded by the sexually illicit dressing of many young women, not to mention the Victoria's Secret stores with the scantly clad models on display in the windows. Where there is total or partial nudity; lust will always be a factor.
I will refer you back to the Garden of Eden, wherein Genesis 3:7-11 it reads,
"Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings. They heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. Then the LORD God called to the man, and said to him, "Where are you?" He said, "I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself." And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?"
Again, after the fall and sin entered into this world, man and woman lost their original righteousness and sin entered into the picture. Why would they cover themselves w/loin clothes? Why would they be ashamed before the Lord? Sin corrupted the perfected state of our sexuality, thus taking away both man and woman's ability not to look on each other with lust. Not only did the fall usher in lust, but every other sexual perversion known to man/woman.
Now, are we condemned to stay in this state, by the grace of God we are not! Lust and any other contributing factors to the life of a sex addict can be renounced and bound by the saving blood of Jesus Christ and Christ alone. Does this mean we can attain the original righteousness and perfection pre-fall man? No, indeed it does not. However, we can walk in a manner worthy of our calling by Christ, we can walk in victory over this by His Blood! Its only when we meet Christ at death will we again attain the original righteousness and perfection lost after the fall.

I think the main problem with considering the subject of nudity on this forum is that people here are battling sexual addictions and it's not, in my opinion, going to help them at all by debating whether nudity in certain circumstances is acceptable or not.

| It was I (preacher) & not Pastor Ed who made the point about the tropics. I will refrain from posting anymore (even though I just joined today) but I need to say that for me, at least, becoming a social nudist was a big help (not the only one, to be sure, but a big one) in overcoming attraction to porn. Thanks for letting me say at least that much.

Has anybody done any valid studies on the effects this has on kids continuously exposed to nudity? The LONG term effects?
It just doesn't seem right to me. To me, the pattern in the Scriptures always encourages modesty. As a woman, I would feel totally violated if I had to walk arond nude in our culture. So, I guess if that is the cure for men's addiction to pornography, count me out. Sorry, guys!
I won't comment about other cultures where it may be the norm. But certainly nudity is not and has not been the standards in our culture, at least, not yet.
