I think that if Jesus is your Lord and Savior then your seat in heaven is secure.

However, you WILL have to give an account of your actions.  You Will have to tell Jesus that even though you knew it was wrong you still continued to degrade yourself with porn.

I image that hurting oneself with cigarettes is hurting God's temple, the body; it must be a sin.

It's all about grace. If Jesus is your Lord and Savior, you are justified to be among the heavenlies in eternity. The matter of sanctification is the ongoing process of becoming more Christ-like.

What I tell my clients is: Take it one addiction at a time! Work on your sex addiction first, and in time, God will make it clear when to work towards other issues such as smoking.

That's my two cents. ;)

Here are a few verses that may muddle things up a lot more.

Luke 6:46
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

So you are doing exactly what the Bible says you are supposed to do. Examine yourself. Don't let other people you are saved, you need to figure it out yourself.
This is something that plagued me for a long time, until I really looked at my lifstyle. If you don't bring forth good fruit, you aren't a good tree. I don't mean if you sin your out, nor do I mean good works will get you into heaven. But if Jesus Christ is your all and all, you will do as he says. You can't do anything but. And if you don't do as he says, you won't lose your salvation, you never had it in the first place.

Matthew 7
17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Being a Christian is more than believing. If your lifestyle is a sinful one, you might not be saved. That IS possible, Jesus makes that very clear. Once again I don't want to make it sound like good works mean salvation, but if you don't have good works, it will mean you don't have salvation. That is how I interpret those verses above, and I don't really know how else a person could read them. I heard a great sermon a while back and I would encourage everyone to read it.

Go to wayofthemasterradio.com and click the link that says "If your Christian walk has been a little...uh uneven." This is a message we need to hear. I am not your judge, I don't know if your saved, only God knows. But you can know as well.

Please listen to the sermon.

God Bless

Bill
