Can anyone suggest a good website that gives movie reviews? Obviously, my husband and I don't need to be watching anything with sexual content. Can anyone recommend a Christian site (that's free) that doesn't downplay objectionable content but tells it like it is?
My husband brought home "Seabiscuit" the other night and we started watching it. Well, anyone who has ever seen it knows there's a scene in a Mexican brothel--maybe more than one scene--I didn't keep watching to find out. That's pretty much the last thing either one of us needs to be seeing. I looked at several websites and they made the scene sound a lot milder than it actually was. If I watch any more movies I want to know what makes it PG-13 before I watch it. I looked on the back and noticed it said "sexual content" so I've decided I won't watch any of the movies that say that on the back. Also, please pray for my husband--he is the one who keeps bringing these kinds of things into our house. He insists he isn't walking on the edge of his addiction, but to me bringing movies home with this type of thing in them is exactly that. I feel that the Lord doesn't want me to say anything else about it--that the Holy Spirit wants to deal with him instead of me trying to, but it's hard to keep quiet when you see this kind of thing. I did tell him he could do what he wanted to, but that I wouldn't be watching any more PG-13 movies like that. He said he wouldn't either, but he's said things like that in the past and gone back into the behavior.
