Hey everyone,

If you are free from porn and masturbation, I want to ask you a few questions so that I, plus thousands that are fighting this fight, can prepare of what lies ahead of us. Now to the questions:

1- Are you married? If you don't mind, would you share your age and gender?

2-For how long have you been free (if you've been free for couple days, sorry but you don't qualify)?

3-For how long did you fight against porn and masturbation to reach complete freedom (I know there isn't such a thing as complete freedom since you are always vulnerable to fall, but you know what I'm trying to ask)?

4-Now that you've been free, are you still tempted to look at porn as badly as before or do you have a new point of view toward porn and masturbation?

5- You know when men are in jail or an desolated island, they say that after a while, since you haven't encounter a woman for so long, even a passing grandma starts to appear sexy. Is this true to you? Does most girls start to look sexy to you?

6- Can you describe in one sentence how does it feel to be free?

Thank you so much for taking your time to answer these set of questions. I know it will help all of us to prepare ourselves for the freedom that lies ahead of us.

1.  Not married, no significant other, Age 22

2.  Free from Porn, 7 years, Masturbation, 2 years, 2 months

3.  Porn- Immediately, Masturbation- two weeks once I was convinced that it was wrong

4.  The devil has given up trying to tempt me in that area for the most part.  It's such an obvious wrong to me that he doesn't waste his time.  Every time you resist temptation, you become stronger in righteousness and can take on stronger temptation.  As you continue to win in the face of succesively greater temptations, you break the back of the sin and the devil leaves you alone, like with Jesus.  It all begins in the thought life.  You can't let your thoughts run.  The instant a lustful thought comes, you have to squelch it and think about something else.  Paul said in Philippians 4:8 to think about whatever is pure, holy, etc.  That must mean you are able to.  You've got to hate the sin, and view it as a poison that will ruin your life.

5.  Well, I don't try to hold them up to the standards of porn, if that's what you mean, but I also resist lusting over them too.  I imagine that I find a larger percentage of girls attractive than a porn addict would.

6.  Normal, its what we were made for.

Thanks for your post.

I've been free from masturbation and porn for about 2 months couple of times, but everytime I reach this point, I start to loose my desires toward women in general. It makes me feel like I'm not a man you know... and because of this funny feeling, I end up looking at porn.

Is this something that you can relay to? Or is it just me??
