Here are a few excerpts from a Christian Newsletter my wife and I receive. I thought they might help us see a little bit of what God might have in His Thoughts for us:
From a contemplation:
Even the Heavens cannot measure His [Jesus'] Love. It reaches far above the mountain’s height, and cannot be scaled. It is broader than the ocean, and yet hath more potency in one single drop than in all the waters of all the seas. His Grains of Love can never be counted, for they are more than the sands upon the shores of every coastline. Who can fathom it?
From a prayer:
We behold, O Lord, Thy Vision for us; yea, Thy Immaculate Vision of our cleanliness in every attribute of our lives. May we, each one, truly and definitely live up to those endearing standards, and press them to our hearts with the same love in which they were given.
From a prayer:
O Christ o f Light and Glory, Thou hast prayed for us, and Thy Holy Prayers are being answered. We thank Thee with all our hearts Lord, for coming down to the earth and kneeling upon the ground thereof; praying for us fully and wonderfully - that our Almighty God might hear the Voice of His Own Dear Son ascending to the Heights to enter His Loving Heart. O how much we praise Thee for this hour of prayer – this time with Thee, our Precious Savior. Thou canst look upon Thy Children and see what Thy Wondrous Prayers have done for us. All of our might could never have brought to pass what the Words from Thy Sweet Lips have done in our behalf.
From a contemplation:
It is good to recognize the true state of one’s own condition; to look upon the weaknesses and the needs. To reach out for the Higher Illumination by examining ourselves and judging ourselves honestly. We must be both judge and the jury of our own conditions; itemizing the faults and defects, the failures and weak points, and the negative strongholds which stand in the way of our Spiritual Success. We must truthfully speak out these things to God, and ask in all humility to have the POWER over them, that His Severing Sword might cut away these things that come between us and our Wondrous Creator. We must ask for a renewed intellect; to replace the common light with the Greater Light, and lay upon His Powerful Altar, the key to our soul and conscience. This key God has had from the beginning, but the mate to this key is not brought out of the Great Aurora of the Throne until the soul-owner of that key produces it and places it upon the High Altar. And this key is none other than our will. When the will is given over to God, or the key is handed over, He then uses it to enter and cleanse the vessel and renovates it. And when the crooked ways are made straight, and the cobwebs and mists are gone from within, that person can rightfully say, “It is daylight everywhere,” for the bright Light will truly shine within and without.
From another contemplation:
If you trust Me, live so I can say the same of you.
May Christ's love bless you,
WV
