I feel that there is a link between p/m and anger toward women. It's like a control and/or vengeance mechanism. I have not studied this topic well, although I'm sure it's been discussed. Does anyone experience this or know if there is a well documented link for some people? Is there a name (mysogeny?) or a psychiatric term for this?
Maybe it goes something like - I see a hot chick, I feel inadequate or rejected, so I look for her online where I can take her against her will. Yeah! That'll teach her!
Or maybe it's : my wife is such a _____, I'll just go m and she can kiss my grits.
Or maybe it's: this woman hurt me, let me go hurt a woman (by viewing p)
I don't know if this is always the case for me, but I have noticed a link between low self worth and p/m.

Sorry I cant help you with any links Idjit. I assume men get involved with p/m for any number of reasons. I don't feel that mine was low self esteem or anything my wife did or didn't do. My wife is great. I've never been one to get into the mind for reasons or causes for my actions and I've never been angry at or hated women. I'm a simple man with simple solutions. I used p/m because I was self serving and to be quite honest, I liked it. My flesh or human side still likes it. My spirit hated it but my flesh always over ruled the spirit. I guess all of us have different reasons for it. I pray very often that when I respond to someones post that I don't come across as a know-it-all and anything that I say will not be hurtful. I honestly and deeply care for the troubeling times that you and everyone else on this site are going through. God bless.

There is a great deal of wickedness behind sexual sin. It mostly has to do with worship of self. But this act of self worship often involves the subduing or seduction or another party whether mentally or in reality. It has to do with the other party, or in a twisted way - even the self, succumbing to sex and thereby boosting the vanity.
There are many reasons why God will destroy sinners who are unrepentant. It takes courage and grace to find out from God how he sees our sin. Why it is utter wickedness to him? The evil destructiveness of it.
It is so much easier to fight and overcome once the mask of innocence is ripped off of the sin that we find so attractive in its pleasures. This is making the works of darkness manifest by coming to the Light. The Light of Christ will show us what our sin really looks like to Him. How does He see it is the best question to ask? Why does He find it so abhorrent that he refuses entrance into Heaven of those who are filthy? What have you done so wrong that He would let you go into outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth? Why did Jesus have to be scourged with whips, beat with hands, have thorns pierce his brow, be spit upon, reviled, and nailed to a cross. We should have been there. These punishments are not done to the innocent. Ask God why your sins were worthy of the death of His Son. If you honestly let God open your eyes - you'll begin to see how truly evil and wicked sexual sins are. There is a reason that we were counseled to flee fornication and warned that perilous times would come in which "men would be lovers of themselves." When you masturbate, you molest yourself with your own hands and are guilty of the molestation of your own soul. You pollute the sanctuary of your mind with the images of fallen naked flesh and desecrate your body temple by the work of your own hands.
These are the hard questions and the hard truths of a soul in bondage. Who will ask them? The truth shall make you free.

Dear Jesus: as you counseled us lukewarm Christians to do: help us buy from you gold tried in the fire, that we might be rich, not in the things of this world but in good works - white raiment that we may be clothed and that the shame of our nakednesss does not appear, for surely God our sins have caused us to become shamefully naked before Thee; and teach us how to annoint our eyes with eyesalve that we might see, for sight will bring understanding and Light to our foolish hearts which have been darkened by our vain imaginations. God you counseled us to do these things for ourselves. Teach us what this means - to obey what you'e commanded us so that we are no longer a wretched, blind, miserable, and naked Church, a body of people ready to be spewed out of your mouth. God help us our of this pit and snare that Satan has set for our souls and to finally walk victorious in the Spirit - apprehending the Victory that you won for us when you came, suffered, and died. And help us to take up our cross, crucify our sinful members, and become one with the fellowship of your sufferings - suffering not for our own sins - but for righteousness sake. Show us how to accept Thy loving rebuke and chastisement that it might yield us to be zealous - and therefore repent - to utterly turn away from that which has bound us for so long. Help us to open the door, to respond to your knock that you might come into a clean temple and feel welcome in a place where sin is not sitting as a big movie screen in our mind that you might be forced to watch that which causes you such pain and suffering. Jesus help us this day to overcome.
In His Precious Name - Amen
Rev. 3:
[14] And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
[15] I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
[16] So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
[17] Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
[18] I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
[19] As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
[20] Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
[21] To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
[22] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

You just reminded me of how really, we are all different. No one approaches life and its issues exactly the same way. Amazing our complexity. I definately think I over-think (maybe even obsess) over things. I admire your "simple" thinking on it, and I definately think I understand you on the flesh part, that's a common bond for all of us I'm sure :-) You seem very sincere and genuine; I feel your caring. I just said a short prayer for you, for your struggles and for you to be blessed with more of Jesus :-) Thank God for the BG forums!!

This is so true, I never thought of it that way. But of course it all comes back to vanity and ego. Hey Fonzie! way to prove how "cool" you are by your collection of sexual "conquests"! What foolishness. Help us JESUS!!!!!!!
There are many reasons why God will destroy sinners who are unrepentant.
This is a difficult topic for me. I struggle with believing that God would accept a sinner like me, having not repented for a long time, still struggling with various sins, and feeling like my mind is too dull and my ear too deaf to maintain love for anyone (God included). I know that God is just and holy. I am (by any reasonable measure) an unrepentent sinner, barely considering the task of carrying his cross. Please God, have mercy on me!

Thank you for redirecting my thoughts to Him. Amazing how much mental gymnastics I will entertain without turning to Jesus!! I act like I am alone, and He is not here with me. I complain like I am alone, like I have no faith.

Hate what is evil, cling to what is good. I honestly hope I can do both.

WV, I prayed this prayer with you :-) Thank you once again for your love for God and your concern for us broken brethren. I pray I can exhibit the zealousness of this prayer and of your heart. Please pray for me, that blind stupor doesn't have its ultimate victory.

My husband has told me that he feels the kind of anger toward women that you're talking about. For him, one aspect of the acting out was a need to "punish" the women.

| Whether or not it starts out with an anger towards women, I think it will go there eventually, as men start to feel that this rules them, often they will be angry at the ones they see as responsible. Since shifting blame is a common theme for people trying to justify sin, it makes sense that anger would be directed to the ones you think cause it. Also, the more you see people as things that are there for your pleasure, the more you see them as inhuman. Once someone loses their humanness to you, they are things to be used and tossed away. I was amazed at some of the sites that came up on the screen where my husband has gone. Dumpster was often part of the name for these women. Also Trash, or trashy. I hope saying those things doesn't cause a struggle for someone. I just think it is interesting that these kind of terms are used for the ones that people are worshipping in a sense. Why is there such a draw to names that describe filth and stench?
