I thought it would be in keeping with a website that promotes Christianity that there should be a space for people to mention books by Christians - autobiography, etc., that they have found edifying, faith-building, enjoyable, etc.

I won't list any just yet.

Just reading a cool one by Ron Piper called '90 minutes in heaven'.  It describes his terrible car accident, his experience where he was clinically dead for 90 minutes, and the effects that experience had on his life.  It brings some of the reality of the next life more into focus.

Thanks, Gaylon for your first contribution to this topic.  I am still reading Philip Yancey's book On Prayer (2006) which is practical and doesn't appear to leave any stone unturned.  It's well written and holds the attention.  Recommended by a member of this forum to whom I am grateful.  I have read a few books by Christian writers and one of the most edifying ones was Dietrich Bonhoeffer's Letter's and Papers from Prison.  Bonhoeffer was a Christian pastor who was hanged by the Nazi's in 1945.  He also wrote an excellent book, The Cost of Discipleship which I must read again.  I read it many years ago.
