This post is by way of apology to those who were offended or who otherwise took exception to a recent post I made referencing a book that our church believes to be Christian scripture.
As per pm's to Mike, Barb, and another member, I will in future posts honor the request to keep my comments religiously generic, and referencing only quotes from the Old and New Testament...
No offense was intended.
Best to all,

Gaylon,
You're one of the most gentle and thoughtful and least offensive people around. Be at peace.
I'm a little puzzled at how "religiously generic" can be combined with quoting the OT and NT, but I appreciate your care to be a good guest. It shows a lot of maturity and commitment to recovery.
I'm also having trouble suppressing a smile that you got nailed for quoting the BOM, while nobody said boo when I quoted the Qur'an a few months back.
Seriously, I want both to thank the people who run this board for being accepting of members who do not share their specific religion, and to encourage everyone that tolerating those who share respectfully from their own faith and who try hard to be good and gentle guests is a much appreciated act of hospitality. We are all striving for recovery, and it is lovely to have a place where we can work together on that task, even if on matters of religion we may need to say, "To you your way, and to me mine," or as some unspecified source says,
لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ
