Yep, I will be turning 35 tomorrow (Friday) and my plans are to do some fall foliage photography up by Cottonwood Pass in the morning and play golf in the early afternoon. Also, a friend plans to buy me dinner in the evening.

Happy birthday Steve!!!

I hope your plans came off flawlessly.  Had you been in NJ, two out of three would have been rained out.  :-)

Go Yankees!

Blessings to you on your birthday, Steve!  Sounds like a great day!  Hey, have you recovered from your weekend of being a social butterfly yet?  ;)

Truth, I really think we're going to go far in October. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I've become a believer that we have a great chance to win championship #27! :)

Now, with regards to my birthday, it has been a nice day. A friend gave me a really snug and comfortable "crue-neck" New York Yankees shirt which I'm wearing right now. Another friend called around in my town and paid for the delivery of a huge pizza, soda and set of brownies. I've also received numerous e-mails, phone calls and other forms of accolades from family and friends.

I also, ahem, smoked a cigar at Cottonwood Pass (alt. 12,126 feet).

In closing, on my 35th birthday, I would really like to give thanks to God. He has done so much in my life, from saving me at the age of 21 and turning me life around. I've lived such a good life over the years and even throughout all the "ups and downs" of life, God has given me a quiet and settled peace about eternal issues. Of course, my recovery is a great part of my story and in many ways, it has been icing on the cake. I am definitely not the same man I was just five years ago.

Praise be to God! :)

-Steve

Amen to that!  Praising Him with you!  ;)  Okay, I admit it....even though I don't like cigars, I couldn't help but laugh at the pic!!!  :D
