After 4+ months of not attending church (long story how I blew out of my last church), I finally got back to worshiping God this morning. It was so nice! :)

Great to hear! We had the most wonderful service yesterday! I notice a huge change in my attitude when I miss the fellowship of believers, not to mention the presence of God in such a place. I hope you can attend regularly now!

Hi Steve,

I, too, am glad to hear this, as we are not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together...then we are not exhorting one another to love and good works.  Heb. 10:24-5.

My H's work schedule often prevents his attendance, and I am sure that that has an impact.

Go Yankees!  :-)

Hey ... now you've got my attention! If you're a Yankees fan, I think I've made a new friend on this forum!

And yes, I know how important it is to be part of a church body. Over the years, I have seen all sorts of ways that the enemy schemes to keep people out and away, including in my own life.

All the best,
Steve

I know this is an old thread but just had to respond about "Small Churches". :D

We go down to London Ky. just to get away and the wife loves to shop, but sometimes we go to one church there so small that on their board they count the people that bring their Bibles. Great place to worship.

Plan to go back there the last part of June, asked and have gotten the time off. Last time there ate breakfast with Pres Lincoln and Pres Jeff Davis. Both looked great for their ages....... civil war renactment. Shook hands with R E Lee, and haven't washed my hands since?

Hay, with out the Lord's help I'd be lost and I be sitting here doing the bad thing without Him.
