You are funny! Yes, it is an issue many overlook....AND I'd add, eating issues (overeating, bulimia and anorexia) are often a factor with spouses of addicts to numb the pain or stay in control of SOMETHING when our world is so out of control! So, it's often an area to address in our dependence on and surrender to God! Of course, you know these things, Steve, but I'm stating it for the benefit of others reading this. We like Dominos, by the way!

Hey, men have issues with eating too. I can attest to numerous experiences when I was either sad, having a hard time with something or just kind of down, and even though I wasn't hungry, I all of a sudden found myself sifting through the refrigerator for goodies. Stuffing one's face for that momentary pleasure of taste is definitely a form of avoidance.
Um, just for the record, I'm craving pizza right now. (And yes, this is legitimate hunger!)

I'm laughing .....thanks for the transparency....I think many women need the validation to discuss these sorts of issues and it helps for men in your position to share and give them/us the freedom to do so! These things may be a part of our struggles, but they don't need to define who we are! When I've been in that position to run to anything but God first, over and over again, God's shown me that He alone can heal those broken areas of my heart and satisfy me as no other.....how deceived we can get to seek this out from anything counterfeit which never satisfies!  As with porn or anything, part of the battle is recognizing those patterns so we can respond more healthily, I guess....
So, did you have some pizza since you were truly hungry?!

I didn't have pizza that day, but instead made some macaroni at home. (Saved money)
I've got to tell you though: Maybe, just maybe I'll visit the Pizza Hut buffet tomorrow. I've got some time from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The pizza was good.
But right now ... I FEEL LIKE MY STOMACH IS GOING TO EXPLODE! 
Ah well, I have an hour before my next client. I'll take a quick power nap.
