Does anyone know of a 12 step recovery book for the wife of the SA?
I was looking at one by Carnes, but I don't know if it is sufficient for my needs as the wife...
I was also looking at one by Pia Melody... does anyone know if this one is Christ centered?
I started going to a group last friday, and they are 12 step and want me to get a generalized 12 program book... I bucked in that I don't want a generalized program, I want what I need for my specific recovery.
Thanks.

Hi decide2love,
I have seen something by Pia Melody on christianbook.com before, though there is nothing at this time, and that does not guarantee a biblical perspective anyway. There is only a very brief description of a cassette that is out of stock on Amazon, and it says nothing of faith. If memory serves, most of what I have seen focuses on codependence and healing the "inner child", which sounds rather secular to me. Perhaps some further investigation would turn up a copy you could flip through, or an online excerpt.
Continuing to pray...

The programs I know are COSA, COSLAA, and SAnon, which are roughly the partners' equivalents of SAA, SLAA, and SA, resp. I'm sure you can Google them and find meeting lists, both face-to-face and on-line, but let me know if you have trouble.
None of these are specifically Christian program, but my own experience has been that my own 12-step program has brought me far closer to Christ. The language will be of a generic Higher Power or God, but for mant of us, that HP is the God of our Christian faith. I realize that not everyone is comfortable with something with this lack of specificity, but it might be worth a try to see how it feels.
I can't tell you much more than that. Neither my wife nor I have direct contact with any of these programs. Thei meetings are rather few and far between, though at least COSA has a meeting only about 90 minutes rom where we live; and phone or Internet meetings might give you some support if you live far from any face-to-face meetings.

Marsha Means has a work book entitled:
Partner's Healing Journey, she is also the author of Living with Your Husband's Secret Wars. Its a great book!
I don't think its a 12 step...but its very good. See the info below about 12 step recovery:
