SPE, apart from seeking God through prayer and worship, you need someone to confide in who is a Christian. You mentioned a counsellor and a support group but in addition to those, someone who you're friends with might be better able to offer support that you won't get from health professionals or even Christian counselling. From what I gather from your posts, you are a Christian. Can you find activities to do that will distract you and at the same time be fulfilling? Praying for you. Stephen

| I dont have a special someone that I love. That's kind of one reason why I am sp tempted. I didnt watch porn but I did 'm' twice, before I slept and this morning. I haven't been on even something resembling a date in over 7 months, like out for coffee with a girl. I haven't even had an extended one-on-one conversation wth a girl in that amount of time. I have asked girls out only to get a cold shoulder or get rejected. I am kinda anxious because I have had absolutely no luck in this area.

I am praying for you too friend. I started masturbating to porn from about 16 y/o. I became bitter towards woman because of failed relationships and lack of self confidence in myself. I didn't have sexual intercourse with my wife until i was married at 37. Like the movie except 37 not 40! hahahahahahaha! so all is not lost. I began to see I needed to work on myself first before God brought me a wife. In a series of Orthodox and Unorthodox steps he brought her too me. Now I am trying not to mess it up. Praise God for your temptations that they have no power over you and they don't. Even if your right in the middle of it talk to God. Each time it will get easier.

I too am praying for you. Think about other things like the embarassment of what if someone finds out. Would you want God to know? He does....
Give it too Him. Failure isn't final. My wife of 23 years hasn't been interested in anything sexual in over a year. I have been faithful to her and God for the last 6 months. Its hard... I need to accept that Seeing is one thing. But I must stop the second look. The Lust. Take every thought captive and renew your mind... It can be done and only Jesus has been there to help me. He can help you too.
