gentlemen,
As I read your postings I want to encourage you that our God has never, does not now, or will never HATE His Children! He can't becuase it's not His nature to do so. God's Word tells us emphatically that God is Love. Therefore since He is Love He cannot be hate. It is not possible. And therefore since He is love, that means He loves you. Don't lose sight of this important characteristic of our Lord. With this one fact alone, you can be assured that God loves you. Now let me also say that God does hate sin and he will chastise His children so that they will stop thier sin but God will never hate you or want to cause you harm. This is good news for those of us who struggle with our terrible addictions.

Dear AMG62
Be reminded that although God loves those He has called, He desperately hates our sin. It is only by grace that we can enter into to the throne room of God.
Be blessed this Holy Easter season for the King of Glory has risen!

I think in my initial post that I made it very clear that God hates sin. No harm in reiteration however.

it is by His grace that we can have victory over sin at the cross.
resurrected to a new life as co heirs with Christ.
who, however, are His children?
are we all His children?

hey Peter,
who are his children? those who profess Christ to be the son of God and Savior of thier soul. Some might speculate that all beings are the children of God, but as you and I are aware of, Romans 8:14 claims that those led by the Spirit are sons of God. Galatians 3:26 also states that we are sons of God through our faith in Christ. All beings are made by God becuase He is the creator of everything but not all people know him as a father. But even all this, God still does not hate. Even those who are not acquainted with His saving grace God does not hate. As stated earlier, it is not His nature to hate his own creation. God is love (1 John 4:8). Sin and wickedness, yes he hates.
