hey, as u can probably guess, im new here.
to be honest all this sounds hectic, comn out and publically admitting everything (but bible says we have to so...)
i struggle with pornography, i have been doing well, but this morning i stumbled!
i have repented but still feel bit guilty.
i have been clean of masturbation for going on a month now, n it seems to be getting easier. but i wont let my guard down.
i was shockd to here so many woman go through this? i was always under the impression that guys were the only ones. its almost comforting to know that it isnt a small group of us. but at the same time, disturbing that its such a large group (worldly)
would be interested to here some female testimonies of this, and what they did to combat it? and how they are doing now?

Welcome Redeemd. Mighty glad you're saved! Praying for you. It's also encouraging to hear how you find doing without "m" has got easier after a month. I'm not there yet. Guitarist63

ah! i was doin well! but i messd up again. (couple times since then)
seriously doesnt help the situation (feelings of guilt and worthlessness) when the pastor stands up at the front on a sunday and says ur not a true believer if u struggle with porn!
i feel bad enough as it is without folks rubbn my nose in it!
i slip up very infrequently, but i do still slip, so i gotta be strong, n trust in God.
i cant do it on my own

Hi Redeemd, Well, I'd like to know just which sins "true believers are permitted to struggle with, and how your pastor knows the difference, since all believers will continue to struggle with sin until we go home to be with the Lord. I don't have a problem with calling sin sin, but I have a real problem when people claim to know the mind of God on who isn't really a believer. Maybe it is time to find a church that recognizes that believers struggle, and offer support for that struggle, not license, but encouragement to draw nearer to Jesus and further from repetitious patterns of sin.
Hang in there. 1 John 1:9 assures us of forgiveness for confessed sin. Struggle to your feet, brush yourself off, and continue on the narrow way with God's help.
Praying for you...

but just moving churches wont solve my problm, no church is perfect, n if i ever did find a perfect church, it wouldnt be after i join it lol.
its a good church with good solid word n teaching, but its also a new church.

Hi Redeemd,
No, no church is perfect, but some are more grace-full than others. Some understand that they are hospitals for sinners, while others think they are museums of saints. (And yes, I know that we are all saints, but I'm sure you see what I mean.)
My testimony? I am presuming that you mean why I am here? I sat for four years, in blissful ignorance, next to my christian husband, in our evangelical, Bible-believing church, thanking God every time our pastor mention the astounding statistics about porn use in the church, that our family was not one of those statistics. When I found out otherwise, I experienced most of the things most of the women here have, but by God's grace was able to extend grace to my husband, and God has done a mighty work in our marriage. Hallelujah!

Hey, it's good to hear from you, Redeemd. You won't find people to condemn you for the sin here! As you know, Jesus came to save sinners, not the righteous. He said so - Matthew Chapter 9, verse 13 " But go and learn what this means, 'I desire compassion, and not sacrifice,' for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners." I pray your church learns compassion for all sinners, including saved ones! Praying for you as well. Stephen
