| It's been twenty-two days and counting since I've viewed porn. The longest period in many years. Some days are better than others. I have learned that if I make plans to do something with another person, it takes the problem off my mind. It does feel good and shows me there is hope that someday that all of this will just be a bad memory. God truly is good!

Hi hans45,
I rejoice with you in your progress. You have recognized the significance of connecting with others, which helps break the destructive cycle of isolation that contributes to the battle.
Praying for you...

| Thank you Truthseeker. you are correct. Isolation is an enemy. it makes it easier for evil to to slip in. A change in ones daily schedule is a real bond breaker. It occupies your mind with the good things in life.

hi hans,
great news! the porn desire is a hard thing to get over, at least it has been for me. it does get easier every day though. most days, i don't even think about it. it does still pop in there from time to time though. i too will be glad when it is just a distant memory that no longer has a pull on me. we must keep pressing on to our goal of freedom. our god is mighty and capable of doing miracles.
in christ,
sam

Thanks for the cheers Guitarist63. I find that the more I pray for others the more I see how desperately we need God in our situation. This forum has made me realize how powerful Satan really is and how decieving he is. I will not forget you guys in my daily prayers.
God bless,
Dennis

Great job Hans!
You know, seeing you reaching a milestone sort of boosted my hope. It's really encouraging!
God bless.

Hans, I'm finding prayer has a great deal of power. I don't know how you are with your sinus today (I have prayed several times for that) but I prayed specifically for a friend who has had a bad suppurating (oozing) sore on the leg for months now that needed regular dressings. This person was due to have the dressing changed this morning and I prayed early hours that when the nurse takes off the bandage, she'd find no sore there. I phoned the person this evening and was cheerfully told that the sore had all gone and the nurse was amazed. Some here will perhaps think that was a coincidence and she got better anyway. For me it was a clear answer to prayer. I don't know why everybody doesn't get healed - it happens I pray for people and I don't see any progress in a physical way. Healing can take place, of course, on different levels, not just the obviously physical.
Hope and pray your sinus is getting better and praying you also continue progress with this battle with sin. God bless you.

If I've encouraged you it's only through the power of the Holy Spirit that I've done so. God bless you Guitarist John. Pray hard.

Gutarist63, I'm breathing much easier today. Thanks for the prayers. Thank God for the healing of this lady with the sore. God answers prayers in different ways I think. Sometimes yes. Sometimes no. Sometimes He says wait. It's hard to understand sometimes why He answers quickley and sometimes so slow. But I believe He always answers.

Thanks for your reply, Dennis (Hans). Yes, you make a good point. God's timing isn't ours and He decides when to heal and the mystery is that He sometimes uses us to pray before He heals. I'll try not to forget to pray for your sinus. Am forgetful and badly organized.
