really tempted last night.... i wanted to have sex, but my husband was tired. he is such a hard working guy and he has a lot on his plate right now. i can really say that i wasn't wanting to "make love" to him, i just wanted satisfaction. almost waited for him to go to sleep so i could m and get that release... i didn't, but it was hard...

i woke up with it on my mind.. felt the desire to m while he took a shower.. again, i didn't. i hate this, i hate this, i hate this...... why do i have to be so selfish? why am i disgusting??? if i look at the bright side (if there is one), i wasn't tempted to see porn.

i go through days where i am strong and have no temptation. then before i know it, there it is - rearing it's ugly head. as i have said before, i have a strong drive. maybe it's because of my age, the biological clock thing... i don't know but i constantly want to be with my hubby and sometimes i want it to be a beautiful loving experience of mutual satisfaction, but honestly most of the time, it's all about me and how many times i can achieve climax. if the encounter isn't as satisfying as i think it should be, i retreat into my mind and lust with the images that are forever burned in memory. i must be demented. please pray for me.

Hi Sam,
You are not disgusting.  You struggle with a lust of the flesh, as we all do to varying degrees.  Praise God for the victory that you had in this praticular struggle.  It is not sin to be tempted, as our Lord himself was tempted.  Perhaps you would find it helpful to make a list of some Scriptures, as Jesus used, to serve as your sword against the enemy.  Perhaps, "A  man shall leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife, and the two shall be one flesh."  This battle is won one victory at a time, and one defeat does not lose the war, either.

thanks for your encouraging words truthseeker. that is a great idea. i will give it a whirl. i have had times in the past when i was heading in the direction of giving in to temptation and all of a sudden, a scripture or a praise song popped into my head.  needless to say that i had no problem cutting the lust mode off. preparation may be the key i have been looking for.

have a great day. sam

Sam, thanks for sharing this; the scripture/song of praise popping into your head is Holy Spirit trying to help you; let that be inspiration in the moment of temptation.....and thank Him.....asking for more assistance next time, and calling on Him. He is our councellor, it is thru this interaction that we become empowered to change....its like attempting change on turbo-charge.
Having this experiece shows just how easy it is to change with the power of the Holy Spirit.
