ok well i just left this general message to everyone out there for everyone struggling with this sin..is time to come back to him becuase this will never fill the void even upon knowing such truth we still come back to the mud... i pray that the lord may use this course this great course as a matter of fact as an instrument to set you free. This is a great course by the way its free and its 100% based on the truth in the word. It is especially designed for those with no hope at all but please dont do the mistake i made

i put my trust in the course itself and not on Jesus once again dont do this because its going to be fatal for your road to freedom. Dont put your trust in the course but in Jesus dont think that by taking the course you will be free but only upon living the truths the WORD TEACHES THROUGH the course, then we will be free indeed. We have hope brothers even if hope is the least word you would want to hear right now... there is still hope as long as we are breathing.... even if we have literally done this more than 10000 times Jesus died ONCE and thats all we need but please really take this seriously Blessings in Christ,

yours Aldo Gutierrez,

I want to emphasize something that  alessandro said and that is not to put your trust in any course, program or man made thing. Only the word of God can set you free.

After saying that I want to say that Setting Captives Free is a Bible based course. It is free and you have an email mentor(usually). I took the course almost 3 years ago, and I have been walking in freedom since then from porn, masturbation and homosexual desires. I also mentor men in Door of Hope at Setting Captives Free.

There are other courses on this web site so check it out. http://www.settingcaptivesfree.com

I was a mentor for SCF and I do recomend it for freedom.

Let me say one thing though as I started the course and got into it I did get at times very discouraged. My wife kept telling me to continue, happy she did.

The problem I was having is that they do start with the theory that when you start "this is your first day". So many things they would ask I had already done. Like "will you now through away everything that leads you into sin?" A lot of you have already done these things, at least I hope so. When you come accross these questions tell them you already have but don't stop. The things that continue does bring you closer to Jesus. He is the answer.

It's Jesus!

All,
Let me get you my perspective.  I am in full agreement with the two main thoughts in this thread.  First, settingcaptivesfree.com is an outstanding online resource.  I was personally on day 40 of this program until this week.  It is truly biblically based.  I have a remote mentor who has been very supportive while holding me accountable

Secondly, nothing, nothing , nothing will replace a personal relationship with Jesus as the sole avenue for all of us to kick this evil habit.  To their credit, the authors and owners of settingcaptivesfree fully acknowledge this.

I really need your prayers because I fell last week.  I confessed to my ap and I have re-started the program at day 10.  My prayer is simply.  That the Lord will break my heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh so that the lessons that I am learning at settingcaptivesfree will be applied directly to my heart.

God Bless All.

Rick

I was a mentor for SCF and had to quit nnot because I fell but other reasons. It's a great program and I will tell almost everybody to go there.

You say you fell at day 40, I sorry, but do you know why you fell? I always ask that Q because it is an important one. But if you can figure out what led you to fall, and I know Satin is responcible, but you picked it up. To me that means that in some place you are lacking.

I know what I am tempted and start my "stinking thinking" then I have to step back and see where I am with Jesus. Is my prayer life for real, am I just "going throu the motions", have I shut down my comunacation with Him?

What about my study time? Am I doing it? have I "been to busy"? Do I really "study" or am I just reading?

These questions and others are important. We are human and sometimes we stop and fall asleep as the deciples did in the garden the night when he was taken away. This "opens the door" for sin to enter. We must as God told Adam "keep guard" on our garden of life. Translated from what a lot of versions say "work". This is part of what our "privet time" or "our walk in the cool of the evening" is with God. Keep cool with Him.
