Glad to hear from you, SPE102580 but sorry to hear you're having difficulty finding a local accountability partner.  Rather than have distance accountability (by email) much better and a lot safer if you can join a recovery group that's local to your area or near enough. Guitarist63

Two days of freedom. Praise the Lord, it is only by His grace. I listen to many sermons by John Piper about sexuality, sanctification, justice of God, justification and it help me a lot. I try to nourrish my soul from good preachings where the Word is preached. And God is working in me.

Thanks to all for you replies and support.

God bless you all.

After 4 days of freedom, i must admit that I have failed. I'm not an example sorry to all.
I have watched pictures of non-naked women and some videos of naked women.
I have maturbated with in my mind someone who i know in the real life.
It was 4 great day with peace, joy, but I have failed. I was feeling depressed and... this is not an excuse, but it may explain a little at least.

I so sorry....:X

Free dove, thanks for keeping accountable here.  You are appreciated and hope you can keep coming here.   Keep trying and never give up.  God is patient and keep trusting in His love and His faithfulness.  Don't be discouraged and try to learn as much as you can from your mistakes so you'll know what to avoid next time round. Also to think about the positive things in the last four days.  The Piper talks, for instance which sound as if they have really been helping you.  For myself, I am only at day 1 still.  Day 2 in fifteen minutes or so. I have been encouraged by what you shared about your success at giving up tobacco and alcohol.  Although you have had some problems with these since then, clearly you are getting freedom from these and I pray that continues.  I hope you're also keeping in touch with your friends and pastor whom you mentioned knew about your addiction.  Continuing to pray for you.  Guitarist63

Hi Freedove,

Glad you're not giving up.  That's the way to go.  It's hard work but there is a reward and Jesus is always with you.

I saw you were on the forum at the same time I was posting so I prayed for you just now and then BigJ714 joined online so I've been praying for the three of us just now.  God bless you.  Keep in touch.  Guitarist63

How are you, Free Dove?  Continuing to uphold you in prayer.  Hope that the Piper talks continue to be helpful and of course to remain in the Word and to be nourished by God through the Word, daily.

Hi Guitarist,

I was planning to give news soon... thank for you words of encouragement.
Well I failed, got one day of victory and failed again. I have repented and now this is my second day of victory. I listen almost everyday to John Piper sermons and it help me a lot! An other good news: I had buy SafeEyes but was unable to use it because there was a bug. In the meantime i have try a lot of other filter and even buy two others... but those filter were not good. I have found a fix for SafeEyes and it works now perfectly! It is a very very good filter. I'm glad to have fix it. I'm now filtered well and i have block peer 2 peer too. A friend got the password.

I realize too that I'm too addicted to masturbation.  But I know that I can be free because I stayed more than a year free from masturbation.

Will pray for you guitarist, thank you for your kindness!

God bless you all!

Free dove, really glad to hear your good news.  Praise God!  Glad the Safe Eyes is finally proving effective and sorry about the bug.   Piper I must read because I've heard such good report about his talks.

Praying for you today.  Stay strong in the Lord.  It's good that you are recognizing the areas of sin in your life and deciding to fight.  Give those struggles to the Lord and seek His strength, His light yoke (burden) and you will be blessed abundantly.  May He pour His peace on you and cause His face to shine on you this day and ever more.

Rejoicing with you, Free dove.  I also have been in victory over sexual sins and it's still in days not months but thank God for every step towards complete freedom.  May you continue in freedom.

After 8 days of freedom I have failed. I had not watched porn but have masturbated with fantasies. I was tempted to try to watch women on  your tube and I had this wordly advice on my mind: "Better to masturbate than watch videos of women".
I have no excuses, I have lived by the flesh and attached to this world. I was wrong.
I have realise too that my time with God was very shot the past few days. I MUST fix it as soon as possible. I have dishonored God and a women with my fantasies. I must repent. I'm lukewarm for the Lord. I must change this.

Freedove, continuing to pray for you and that you'll overcome this with Christ's strength.  Trust in Him.  You've confessed your sin and He is gracious to forgive. Remember 1 John 1, verse 9.  Don't forget that the sin does not define who you are but it is Christ's new nature that He is making in you that defines you.  When God looks at you, He sees His Son's righteousness, not your sin.

Guyz, I have just recently renounced my addiction to masturbation. Please pray for me to remain strong since the stress and tension are building up and I have the urge again to engage in it.

Welcome to the forum, Arvin.  In the same boat so I'll pray.  Tension is short-term and it's getting over that hump that looks a mountain when it's on top of us but is something we can surmount, with God's strength and not our own.  Easy to say, not so easy to do.

Sober since 7/26 from both P/M. Habits that I'm working on are:
  • calling brothers in Christ (when I feel weak)
  • building my relationship with God through regular bible devotionals (I take time to read which include times when I mostly acted out "at night")
  • regularly meeting with a mature christian man to discuss life issues, the bible and learning how to apply the word of God in my life (practical stuff).
  • Counseling sessions have been very beneficial
  • Lastly, anti-depressant (20mgs of something?)
I was addicted to M for so long that I wired my brain up so poorly, so the drugs of been very helpful.

God Bless You Guys, I'm Praying for All of US!

Excellent bullet points, Minuspride.  You'll win this with God.  Well done for going those days so far and pray you'll continue walking the narrow way.

guitarist63: thanks, wish I wasn't in this fight but the lord has his plan for me. Guilt always is the creature that seems to always have a grip on me. Reading God's word really helps in forgiving myself for the hurt I caused others. I am in the right path and I owe it all to God!

God Bless You Brotha!
