| I am in need of being a part of the accountaility group. I am going to try to be a part of a support group at a church called Restoration by Grace. I would also like to be a part of an accountabilty group through blazing grace that I can check in on every week.

There's an Accountability forum here; some guys start their own thread just to log their own progress. Most of the posting I do here is for selfish reasons - it's a form of journalling, that I can go back and review. Otherwise, I'm not much good a journalling. And, hopefully it helps a few other people, in the process...

| That's great. I am the same way too. I semi-journal here, although I do have my own journal.

Did it again, 9 May. 19 May I am going to a mens conference at church and porn is one of the subjects. Although I've not looked at it, I do get occasional flashes of it from six months ago. Stress of one kind or another is one of the contributory factors to "m", not the only one. The fact is, I choose to do it and it's a sin. Stephen

Hi Stephen,
You have mentioned that one of your triggers is noise. Does it help at all if you counter unpleasant/stressful noise with soothing music, or does that just make it worse? Have you tried earplugs, not just regular ones, but thos that save the hearing of military pilots and others in deafening noise jobs?
Praying for you...

Hello Truthseeker, thanks for your kind suggestions. Ear plugs - have worn both types (sponge variety, wax) since 1985 or so. Yes, they work for a lot of noise but not generator type which penetrates through anything. There is a technical term for this kind of noise. I think generators would bother normal people as well but the noise problem was not the cause early morning today. I'm going to try a lot harder and hope that I can give more encouraging news from now on. I haven't a walkman but I will try out a cassette recorder in bed with head phones if the urge comes again. Prayer, of course. Stephen
